Creative Christmas: Video Game Music At A Christmas Party

This post is part of a Christmas collaboration event created by Later Levels. If you’re interested about the event click here.

4th Question –

It’s now Christmas Eve and you’re throwing a lively party for all your friends, family and favourite characters. Which video game soundtracks would be on your playlist?

Christmas is a lively time of the year and what is good for giving any party or festivity that extra kick? Music of course.

Last year during my last year of university, the head of the course I was on (I studied Games Journalism and PR) hosted a Christmas party for everyone who was on the course. It was a party with food, games (We had Rocket League and Smash Bros on the big screen) and music.

The question today is, what video game music would be on my playlist at a Christmas party I host? Well, I have a varied music taste and whilst the music I’d have in my playlist isn’t Christmassy, it will be great for a party.

Here’s my video game music playlist. (Links are attached to the song titles) –

Sparking – Tekken 5

Heat Haze Shadow – Tekken 7

Yakuza 0 Intro Song – Yakuza 0

Lu Bu’s Theme – Dynasty Warriors 8

Heavy Day – Guilty Gear XRD Sign

Exciter – Dead or Alive 2

Ultra Violet (Nelo Angelo Battle) – Devil May Cry

Lock and Load Blackened Angel Mix – Devil May Cry 4

The Time Has Come – Devil May Cry 4

Beyond the Bounds (Eshericks Remix) – Zone of the Enders

Urban Fragments – Ridge Racer Type 4

Pearl Blue Soul – Ridge Racer Type 4

Introduction – Cuphead

Simple and Clean – Kingdom Hearts

Sanctuary – Kingdom Hearts II

What video game music will be on your playlist? Let me know in the comments below.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

    1. I do have a spotify account but it has been a while since I last used it and I’ve kinda forgot it haha.
I can list a few artists that I listen to –
Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Motorhead, Dio, Edguy, Avantasia, Yngwie Malmsteen, Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden.

I could list a lot more but I hope that gives you an idea of what I listen to. 🙂
