That Green Dude

Hey everyone! As many of you know I started live streaming a few weeks ago and I have been having a blast with it. I realised something a few days ago, I haven’t properly introduced my Twitch channel on my blog.

My Twitch channel has the same name as my Twitter, ThatGreenDude95. On my channel you can expect me to play games from many genres such as; platformers, beat em ups, action adventure, open world games and RPGs.

 

Why I started streaming

I honestly didn’t get streaming for a while until I watched Maximilian Dood’s channel. It finally clicked why streaming was good, the community aspect and being able to share the gaming experience with people. Streaming allows people to play games and at the same time build a community and make memories with.

After watching Max’s streams I decided that one day I wanted to stream. I wanted to give streaming ago and hopefully build a cool community where people can chill, talk and laugh whilst I play video games either really well or badly.

Of course I would like to reach the lofty heights of streaming like Dood has but I’ll be happy with a small number of people turning up and just having fun.

 

Games that will be in some sort of constant rotation of play.

There are some games/ series that will be played regularly or some that I will go back to if I’m waiting for the next big release. You can expect to see me play these games more than others.

My goals with streaming

Goal number 1: To build a community

I want to build a community on Twitch, one where we can all have a laugh and talk about games. The goal is to eventually have group of people all talking about video games, films and anything else really (not politics though, that will only piss people off) and just having a blast.

I want to my channel to be a fun place where people can chill, hang out and have a good time.

 

Goal number 2: To make people laugh, smile and forget about all the bad stuff.

There’s a lot of bad stuff in the world, especially with current crisis we’re in. The second goal of my streams is for them to make you laugh and hopefully forget about all of the bad stuff in the world. Even if I’ve only made you laugh for 10 minutes, that would make me happy, knowing that I’ve helped someone just a little bit.

We all need some form of escapism and I hope I can provide way of escapism for you.
