A good month
April 2018 was a good month for That Green Dude. My stats are good and have been getting a more consistent flow of readers. Social interactivity has been increasing, thanks to me being more active with fellow bloggers, talking about my work, participating with fellow bloggers with fun questions and asking my own question for people to answer.
April wasn’t perfect though, I didn’t get my Retro Review of Ratchet and Clank (PS2) done. I’m annoyed by this because I had most of my review done then WordPress decided it wanted to delete it. The motivation to write it again wasn’t there but I started writing it again yesterday so expect it soon.
I also didn’t do my Crash Bandicoot poem. I underestimated how hard it was to make a Crash Bandicoot poem but I think I have an idea now. That said however, past attempts have been good at first but then after reading them through they weren’t that good. It’s still happening but I am not going to put a date on it.
Here’s a list of what I wrote in April:
- 6 Things I Would Like To See In GTA VI
- Yakuza 6: The Song Of Life After Hours Premium Edition – Unboxing
- Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth – Hacker’s Memory – Review
- Don’t Give Up On Your Dreams
- Book Update – Character Bios #1
- Video Game Championship Wrestling: Super Show
- QOTM – Zombies And A Volcano Ready To Erupt. What A Time To Be Alive.
- Do You Think The Seventh Generation Consoles Are Now Retro?
Enough of April now, May is here and one day this month I get a year older (someone get me my zimmer frame). Not only is it my birthday this month, it is also one month before E3, the biggest gaming convention of the year. This means there will be tonnes of articles and videos from people all over the world about what they would like to see at E3 and trying to predict what will get announced and shown. May is the calm before the storm that is June and E3.
I’ve got some content lined up for May, so here is what to expect in May on That Green Dude:
Retro Reviews
As mentioned before WordPress decided to delete my Retro Review for Ratchet and Clank (PS2) which as you could imagine was incredibly annoying. I have started writing it again so expect it soon.
I’ve also played and completed Ratchet and Clank 2: Locked and Loaded which I will also review. Expect this review sometime in May unless WordPress deletes my work again.
My review of Yakuza 6: The Song of Life
If you’ve been keeping up with me on Twitter, you’ll know that I have been playing Yakuza 6: The Song of Life. I did an unboxing piece for the After Hours Premium Edition a while back if you are interested. I will review Yakuza 6 but only after I have completed it on Legend difficulty.
It shouldn’t take me too long do this so expect my review of Yakuza 6: The Song of Life around the middle of May.
A piece on Super Retro Maker

I’ve been meaning to write about this awesome looking game for a while now but haven’t gotten around to doing so. That changes in May. Super Retro Maker is like the brilliant Super Mario Maker but it with an old-school look to it. As someone who loves retro games, this appeals to me greatly.
I’ve noticed that more people have been talking about the game in past few weeks but it needs more attention. It’s a game that has a lot of potential and I hope it does well.
Expect a piece about this towards the end of May.
More lists

I’ve got several ideas for lists, one I am working on now and should be posted by the end of the week. One list I have planned is about Soul Calibur VI, a game I am very looking forward to. Another list is about Smash Bros for Switch.
Expect the lists to be posted throughout May.
E3 pieces, maybe

I may write and post these this month or at least plan them ready for June. What I can say with certainty is that these will be posted before E3 2018.
E3 2018 will take place between June 12-14 and there are several conferences that take place before E3 on June 9, 10 and 11. I will go into more detail about the conferences when I do my lists and in a piece I might do detail when each conference is on and for several time zones.
I want to finish this update and overview by referencing a post I did a few weeks ago, “Don’t Give Up On Your Dreams“. We all have dreams and goals in life and along the path we will suffer setbacks like I have. Setbacks suck but don’t give up, carry on, work even harder and you’ll achieve you dreams.
