Writing, life stuff and falling down the stairs
October was a month that went by very quickly, so much so that I had trouble keeping up with it. It was a busy, great, weird and painful month.
October was busy because I was getting all of my stuff ready for my application for the job in Japan again, most of which I have got. All I need for that now is to print off a few things, get them photocopied and I can send them off. Fingers crossed that I will get it this time.
It was a great month because my uncle got married and I wish the happy couple the best for the future.
Not only did that happen but also two of my most anticipated games of 2018 were released, Soul Calibur VI and Red Dead Redemption 2. I am loving both games! Soul Calibur VI is one of the most fun fighting games I have ever played and is the best Soul Calibur game since Soul Calibur III. Red Dead Redemption 2 is simply fantastic. I am having so much fun with the game, I love the setting, the characters, the camp and my horse who is called Hudson. I have articles in the works about both of these games, can’t say exactly when they will be posted but they will be done.
October was a weird month because even though I had plans to write certain articles (all of which have been worked but have not been finished) I didn’t feel like writing them? It was weird, I wanted to write but the motivation wasn’t there. I know I focused more on life stuff in October but I kinda lost the motivation to write. Don’t worry though, the writing mojo is back and I’m ready to roll.
You may be wondering why I said that October was a painful month well, I fell down the stairs and boy did it hurt. Whilst I have mostly recovered and come off the painkillers now, there is still an almighty bruise on my right shin. It’s getting better but man, it looked liked the bruise was all around my leg. It still hurts but it’s getting better.
I answered October’s Question of the Month and I won for the second time in a row. I can’t believe that me writing about how Fatal Frame scared the everloving crap out of me when I was a kid won but I’m really happy that I did. Big thanks to Megan from A Geeky Gal for coming up with the question and to everyone else that answered, your responses were awesome! Who will dethrone *cue Paul Heyman voice* the reigning, defending, undisputed Question of the Month champion, Brock Lesnar. Wait no, not Brock Lesnar I’m the champion. Although I wouldn’t argue with Lesnar, if he says he’s the champ, he’s the champ.
What I wrote this month:

What is your spookiest video game moment?

What’s happening in November
My big L.A. Noire piece (hopefully)

You know when you plan a piece, you start writing it but then you have another idea, a bigger idea so then it takes longer. Yeah, that is what has happened here. What started off as a simple “big” article has now turned into a 100 image goliath. It’s far from being done and I can’t guarantee that it will be done by the end of the month but I’ll damn well try.
I’ll drop a small hint to what it is about soon.
Ratchet and Clank 3 Retro Review

I’ve been wanting to do this for a while now but I finally got around to completing it and now I can do my review. The last time I played R&C 3 was over ten years ago so going back to this now has made me appreciate some things in this game a lot more. My Retro Review will be up by the end of the month. Spoilers – It’s very good and has aged well!
Kingdom Hearts III Impressions

This would have been out in October but WordPress decided to randomly delete it. I have no idea why it happened but here I am writing up my impressions on Kingdom Hearts III.
Something Red Dead Redemption 2 related

I haven’t decided exactly what to write about yet but I do want to write about Red Dead Redemption 2, so stay tuned!
Something Soul Calibur VI related

Same thing here as it is with RDR 2 although I have a more clear idea on what I want to write about.
That’s it, ladies and gentlemen. I hope you all have had a wonderful October and have an even better November.
